About Rachel

I am a postdoctoral fellow under the supervision of Dr. Laura Spiller. I received my master’s degree in clinical psychology from The Teachers College, Columbia University and my PhD in existential psychoanalytic psychology from Duquesne University. Before joining Heights Couples Therapy, I was an intern at the Baylor College of Medicine and a fellow at The Lakeview Center for Psychotherapy in Chicago, IL. I specialize in couples therapy, anxiety, depression/apathy, low self-esteem, and loneliness.

I was first introduced to Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) my first year of doctoral training, as it is highly compatible with existential psychoanalysis. EFT provides patients the opportunity to explore, immediately and directly, emotional responses that motivate and impact their way of being in the world. After working with me, whether in individual or couples therapy, patients report feeling more peace in their relationships, and a greater understanding of who they are and what makes life fulfilling.
